Matcha Green Tea Smoothie
Whipping up a Matcha Green Tea Smoothie is my favorite way to add a little pep to my day. It’s a quick fix for busy mornings or a midday pick-me-up that feels both nourishing and indulgent.

Variations & Substitutions
If you’re in the mood to switch things up, try swapping the banana for frozen mango or pineapple for a tropical twist. For a creamier texture, add a scoop of Greek yogurt or a splash of coconut cream.
Want a protein boost? Toss in a scoop of your favorite protein powder or a spoonful of nut butter. For a caffeine kick, add a shot of chilled espresso.

Tips & Tricks for Perfect Results
For the smoothest texture, blend the matcha powder with a splash of milk first to dissolve any clumps before adding the rest of the ingredients. Use ripe bananas for natural sweetness and creaminess.
If you like your smoothie extra cold, freeze the banana slices ahead of time. Adjust the amount of matcha to your taste—start with less if you’re new to its earthy flavor, and add more for a stronger punch.

Storage & Reheating
Matcha smoothies are best enjoyed fresh, but you can store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 24 hours. Give it a good shake or stir before drinking, as separation is natural.
If you want to prep ahead, freeze the blended smoothie in ice cube trays, then blend the cubes with a splash of milk when ready to serve.
