Air Fryer BBQ Chicken

Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in skin-on chicken thighs (or breasts)
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce store-bought
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for 3–5 minutes.
  • Pat chicken pieces dry with paper towels — this is key for getting that gorgeous, slightly caramelized exterior.
  • Drizzle olive oil over the chicken and rub in the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Place chicken skin-side down in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 12 minutes.
  • Flip the chicken, brush generously with BBQ sauce, and cook for another 6–8 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • In the last 2 minutes, brush on one more layer of BBQ sauce for that sticky, glossy finish.
  • Rest for 5 minutes before serving.
